Elon Musk

I have to admit, personally I’m a big fan of Elon Musk. His company did an airdrop in 1998! That was over 20 years ago..

Plus, I own Tesla stocks and I’ve tried to get my hands on SpaceX stocks through peer to peer trading. Whenever I see a podcast or news article on Musk, it’s instant click bait for me. So take my opinion about Elon, with a grain of salt…

This time around, he voiced his opinion on Bitcoin. So I thought, l’ll keep you in the loop as well! Who knows, there might be some Elon fans amongst our users.

After the controversial marijuana smoke on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Mr. Musk now shares his thoughts on Bitcoin on the Ark invest podcast.

Elon musk – The podcast

Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla, Solar City and SpaceX, has publicly announced his belief that cryptocurrency offers an improved alternative to traditional money.

In the podcast the tech genius Elon said he believes bitcoin’s structure “is quite brilliant”

Additionally he said:

“It [cryptocurrency] bypasses currency controls. … Paper money is going away. And crypto is a far better way to transfer values than a piece of paper, that’s for sure.”

However, he does share some concerns about crypto in general.

In the case of Bitcoin for example, he said he believes its use of a large computing network to secure its ledger is “computationally energy intensive. A process better known as mining. ” He added that, for a company that aims to boost the adoption for sustainable energy, it may not be “a good use of Tesla’s resources to get involved in crypto.”

“It’s very energy intensive to create bitcoin at this point,” he said.

Possibly his Solar city company can start mining some Bitcoin’s ?
