Trending PFP NFTs That Could Blow Up In Q4

Without a doubt, the most popular content we’ve published lately is about the PFP trend of this year. Just in the past 4 weeks, we’ve gotten over 50k reads on a few content pieces. So guess what, it’s time for another one. Just like DJ Khaled, we always deliver what our audience wants. So today we’re going to dive into some of the most trending PFP NFTs of the last quarter of 2021.

Before we get down to business. You might want to check out our previous blog on PFP NFTs. And don’t think we forget about the people in our community that can’t splurge a few ETH on a JPEG. We also got something for you, which is a blog on PFPs that are priced under 0.25 ETH.

Now let’s see what is popping for the upcoming weeks. You ready?

List of Trending PFP NFTs

Now, what makes a collectible NFT series trending? Our definition is a mix of hype, social media exposure, community, and trading volume. Some of these projects in the list will be freshly minted with high potential. Some have been around for a few weeks and we see volume increasing.

Use this list as part of your due diligence process. Always do your own research, and don’t just follow the opinion of an influencer, or us for that matter.

1] The MekaVerse

Probably the most anticipated PFP NFT of the year. Even before mint, they had over 200k people in their discord, all eagerly waiting to mint one of the 8888 Mekaverse NFTs that would be released. To handle the demand, they did a raffle for mint spots. If you would be lucky enough to mint, you had the option to mint two NFTs at a mint price of 0.2 ETH per NFT. Of course, it sold out in a matter of minutes. And the minutes after it was already traded on the secondary market between 4 – 9.5 ETH.

The NFTs aren’t even revealed yet, and we will be following the price action when that happens.

2] The Roaring Leaders

This week, we did a deep dive into the Roaring Leaders collectibles, which is definitely worth checking out. What stands out from the PFP series is the Mutual Fund that they created and is shared with the holders of the NFT. In addition, they added more cool utility for the collectors. If you’re holding a common one you have the option to burn a Roaring Leader NFT to get an elixir NFT, which is rarer. Not only do holders have the opportunity to get more rare ones, but it also adds a deflationary mechanism for all investors. I mean, if someone burns one of the NFTs, the whole series reduces in numbers, so my NFT by effect becomes rarer. Get it?

Ow, and did I mention they are designed by a Marvel artist?

3] The Humanoids

This project of Humanoids launched on September 28th and it’s been on the rise ever since. Volume is popping and crypto Twitter is embracing them by rocking it as their profile pictures. The project kinda reminds me of the crypto punks in style. Even though there have been many “alt punks” series in the past, this one struck lightning and just clicked with the NFT community. Why? Who knows, they look kinda funky and cool.

4] Winter Bears

Another cute animal NFT series called The Winter Bears is trending on Opensea right now. It seems like the NFT community still can’t get enough cartoony-type animals as collectibles. So where there is demand, the supply will be created.

As usual, there are 10,000 Winter Bears available on the secondary market. At an affordable price tag with rising volume, it earned a spot in this list of trending PFP NFTs.

5] Dead Fellaz

I have to be honest on this one, it’s not my cup of tea. But hey, what do I know? After 6.1k in ETH traded, the NFT community obviously likes it. So I’m going to leave my judgement at the door.

The Dead Fellaz is a collectible series of 10,000 unique NFTs. They entered the scene in September and quickly saw over 4000 collectors buy a Dead Fella, including a few influencers. So they had they be part of this trending PFP series and you should check them out. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Let us know on Twitter what you think of these guys.

6] CyberKongz

Two things that are always popular in NFT world, Apes and Pixelated PFPs. Cyberkongz is a combination of the two. While the project already launched in July, it’s been most recent that we’ve noticed a big surge in price action and volume. Therefore we had to add it to this list of trending PFP NFTs for you to check out. One thing that is a bit different from this collection, it’s more scarse with only 3.9k items listed on Opensea.

What do you think of Apes in general, and especially the Cyberkongz?

Final Thoughts on Trending PFP NFTs

If you paid attention to our previous blogs about PFPs, you can see that the majority of them mooned after we published content about it. I’m not claiming that we’re the x-factor that these collectibles are waiting for. But I’d like to point out the fact that we have our finger on the pulse of this industry. To namedrop a few that we covered: Lazy Lions, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Crypto Punks, CrypToadz, Sneaky Vampire Syndicate, The DogePound, and more. The first three of this list we even did a deep-dive, of which we will do more in the future.

With about 400k Opensea users, it’s safe to state that we’re still very early in this industry. If you decide to start shopping or trading NFTs, don’t just do it for the sake of making money. Find communities and NFTs that you actually like. Who knows, in time they might go up in value. And if they don’t, at least you own something you like. If you don’t know how to get started, we wrote you a guide with some Opensea Features that come in handy.

It goes without saying, you need to start by creating an account. And if you want to earn with NFTs you can refer your friends too.
