Cutest Cat PFP NFTs To Furr Up Your Portfolio

November 16, 2021

By now, it’s getting publicly known that PFP NFTs are here to stay. Last week on the popular “Tonight Show”, Jimmy Fallon had Beeple as a guest. Making NFTs even more mainstream. While on the show, Jimmy revealed he bought into the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), and is now showing off his brand new ape as his profile picture on Twitter.

Subsequently, rapper/singer Post Mallone copped two Bored Apes as well. And these are just two of the many celebs getting into this game.

At Airdrop Alert, we deliver the most content across the industry surrounding PFP NFTs. Why? Because we’re at the forefront of the industry, and respect the trend. As traders will say, the trend is your friend. The same applies to NFT traders and this industry.

As we covered an entire article with 11 animal PFP’s, we realized a few of them deserve an entire list for themselves. And today we’ll start with cats.

Why cats first? Well, we love cats. And so does the internet. So it just feels like the purrfect start to create a dedicated cat PFP watchlist for the NFT community.

List of 7 Cat PFP NFTs

Just in case you don’t like cats, don’t worry. We got you covered too. In the next few weeks, we’ll make sure to cover dogs, apes, jungle wildlife, and more. But for now, here’s 7 trending cat PFP NFTs to consider for your NFT portfolio.

1] CryptoKitties

Let’s start with the mother of NFTs on Ethereum, the CryptoKitties. This collectible started in 2017, possibly as the first NFT series on ETH. Back in 2017, it was the cause of huge gas problems and delays in the blockchain network. Since May 2020, they moved to the Flow blockchain, which is also used by NBA Topshot.

CryptoKitties is a game centered around breedable, collectible, and oh-so-adorable creatures we call CryptoKitties! Each cat is one-of-a-kind and 100% owned by you; it cannot be replicated, taken away, or destroyed.

The prices vary per rarity of the kittie and start as cheap as 0.005 ETH on the secondary market.

2] Cool Cats PFP NFT

Cats are cool, and so are the Cool Cats PFP NFTs. So cool, that even Mike Tyson has one has his avatar on Twitter. And nobody can deny the coolness of mighty Mike. We already covered these cats in our blog of a few months ago, with the hottest PFPs at that time. But for the purpose of this list, here’s a brief recap.

The series contains of 9,999 unique NFTs. One of the coolest things stat stands out, is that the team aims to return 20% of all ETH from secondary markets back to their community through contests, raffles, and airdrops. The NFT holders also get limited edition Cool Cat-related NFTs each month. Too many collectors this project is considered a blue-chip. Even tho it only started July this year.

  • Floor Price: 7.6 ETH

3] Mutant Cats

Now that Mutant PFPs are buzzing, the Mutant Cats can’t be dismissed for this list of cat PFP NFTs.

Mutant Cats is the first DAO that buys and fractionalizes Cool Cats (here they are again), CryptoPunks, and more top notch blue chip NFTs. So as a Mutant Cat Holder, you share a part of the DOA.

They reward you with their governance token called $FISH, which represents your share of the NFT vault. Each Mutant Cat NFT earns 10 FISH per day if you stake it. This form of earning with NFTs is getting more popular and we’ll need to cover it in a separate blog soon. Nearly 90% of all mutant cats are staked by now.

4] Stoner Cats

Did you have a crush on Mila Kunis when you were younger? I’m not ashamed to admit that I did. Well, Mila and her long-time love Asthon Kutcher started this cat PFP collectible and tv show called Stoner Cats.

https://twitter.com/aplusk/status/1419405231402758145?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1419405231402758145%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdecrypt.co%2F76928%2Fwhat-is-stoner-cats-nft-series-starring-mila-kunis-ashton-kutcher-vitalik

So here’s the thing, the only way to watch Stoner Cats show is if you own a Stoner Cats NFT. Once you have it in your wallet, you gain membership to a club. This is your admission to the show.

A whole new twist to NFTs, I would say.

The A-star cast for the show also includes Chris Rock and Vitalik Buterin himself.

5] Gutter Cat Gang

Started from the gutter now we here.

Launched in June, The Gutter Cat Gang is a club-based NFT Collectible Project with only 3000 cat avatars that unlock exclusive “gang” activities and perks. The project is building an exclusive Metaverse town on The Sandbox (more on this later). In Gutter City you can find gambling, in-game events, and catfight clubs to the project’s branding.

They have a second series that was airdropped to cat holders, called gutter rats.

6] The Yakuza Cats Society

The Yakuza Cats Society is a unique collection of 8,930 yakuza cats NFTs with over 300 traits.

This Japanese-styled cat PFP series is one of the cheaper ones on this list. Or let me put this another way, it’s more affordable. The Japanese style hype began with 0N1 Force, and quickly found its way to other avatars NFTs including this one.

You can register for the yakuza syndicate by staking your Yakuza Cat NFT. You’ll earn daily rewards in DAMA tokens. And future rewards will be determined by the community. DAMA is a token that has its utility in the Yakuza War game which is announced in their roadmap.

7] Jungle Cats (SOL)

Not really a cat, but we wanted to add a Solana PFP to the mix. Plus, they have cats in the name, so don’t blaim us for listing it with the cat PFP NFTs, okay?

Jungle Cats is a collection of 5,585 uniquely generated 3D Lions roaming the Solana Jungle. The series quickly sold out in October this year.

As a holder, you get access to exclusive airdrops, their social club, and more. With part of their earnings donated to the Lion Guardians Conservation Program. Which helped them earn a spot on our list.

More holder perks, you get voting rights in their DAO, for future partnerships and metaverse decisions. So being part of the community actually helps the future of the project.
